Beyonce On The Cover Of Complex Magazine

August/September Issue

Details From Beyonce Online: Get your first look at Complex's annual Style & Design issue with Beyoncé on the cover.

The feature was shot by Thierry Le Gouès in collaboration with artist Ebon Heath, who created the unique typography sculptures that surround Beyoncé and said of working with the icon: "Beyoncé is a piece of art and design on many levels. It's a fantasy come true to see her swimming in my words."

Beyonce Said: “I have an authentic, God-given talent, drive, and longevity that will always separate me from everyone else. I’ve been fortunate to accomplish things that the younger generation of queens dream of accomplishing. I have no desire for anyone else’s throne. I am very comfortable in the throne I’ve been building for the past 15 years.”

BEYONCE IN A WEEK:July 18: The Details Behind

4's Fashion

The New York Times published an article today exploring the evolution of Beyoncé's style and her embrace of the under-the-radar designers whose creations she wore for the photo spreads in her new album 4.

Ms. Knowles’s creative director, Jenke-Ahmed Tailly, along with the singer’s stylist Ty Hunter, pointed her in the direction of these designers. “The album is a musical gumbo of everything Beyoncé likes,” said Mr. Tailly in an interview by telephone. “Each song really has a different personality so we decided to do the cover like an editorial for a magazine, with each song having its own style.”

The album’s cover image illustrates the singer’s embrace of under-the-radar creators and features Ms. Knowles wearing a fox-fur stole by the cult French designer Alexandre Vauthier embellished with Swarovski crystals by the Lesage embroidery house. Mr. Vauthier’s work also shows up inside the fold-out cover, as does a pair of “Daisy Duke” shorts by the young French designer Julien Fournié, who founded his brand only three years ago. Even student designers got a look-in: Leah Rae, who is studying at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, created a form-fitting lemon-yellow mini-dress for the album spread.

BEYONCE IN A WEEK: July 15: Revealing 4's

 Amazing Artwork

The Story Behind 4's Artwork: After spending a year away from the spotlight, Beyoncé stormed back into action this year, taking her career into her own hands and crafting a new record, hailed as "her most accomplished album yet" by The Guardian. Fans around the world were eagerly awaiting Beyoncé's return; everything was set. Well, everything except the worldwide TV spot.

Beyoncé needed something as arresting as everything else she was set to deliver fans. So, just six days before the spot was set to air, we contacted visual effects boutique Brickyard VFX with the heady challenge. Brickyard accepted and six days, countless cups of coffee, and not a moment of sleep later, they delivered a spot dubbed "Around the World," which features Beyoncé's 4 printed atop the world's greatest landmarks, including the Pyramids Of Egypt, Statue of Liberty, the Arc de Triomphe, the Taj Mahal, and the Great Wall of China, among others.

BEYONCE IN A WEEK July 14: Buying some Pizza

 For Her Fans :D

Acoording To Beyonce's Official website:Devoted fans queued outside of a Londonstudio earlier today awaiting the start of a taping session for an upcoming Beyoncé special (more on that later). Well aware that the fans were starved to see her, Beyoncé figured they might be hungry for more than just her performance, so she ordered them 200 pizzas and bottles of water while they waited for the doors to open.
